Architectural firm Biotope, with its contemporary approach to design and building technology, is embracing the primal concept of human shelters in the wild, reclaiming a domesticity that is in tune with nature.

“Our architectural solutions come from a care and understanding of ecology,” says Tormod Amundsen, principal architect at the Norwegian firm Biotope. He is of the belief that architecture should not happen at the expense of nature, but should rather sensitise itself to nature’s diverse beauty.
